Sunrise Tippeconnie has produced and directed numerous American Indian short works that most recently include Leave Durov to the Dogs and Anticipation for Land in 2089, which have shown world wide, including the Heard Museum, imagineNATIVE Film & Media Arts Festival, and the National Museum of the American Indian.

Tippeconnie has extensively free-lanced in independent production for over a decade, for feature directors such as Michael Winterbottom, Nick Cassavetes, William H. Macy, Heather Rae, Yen Tan, Paul Harrill, David Lowery, Sterlin Harjo and Blackhorse Lowe.

Graduating with an MFA from the Media Arts program from Temple University, Tippeconnie has taught at Temple University, Oklahoma City Community College, and currently teaches production courses in the Film and Media Studies department at the University of Oklahoma.

Tippeconnie also develops, produces and directs fictional narrative work with fellow filmmaker David Burkhart through their motion picture development and production company Out of Print, LLC.
