Jason Strouse

writer/director Teacher of the Year
Jason began his writing career on NBC’s Caroline in the City. He then returned to his first love, stand-up comedy, and appeared regularly at the Laugh Factory, The Improv and The Comedy Store before leaving the stage and becoming a teacher in Los Angeles. As Head Coach of Varsity Football at Santa Monica St. Monica’s High School, Jason was the first Jewish head football coach in the history of the Los Angeles Archdiocese. He began his directing career with The Audience, a short film that premiered at the Palm Springs Short Film Festival in 2006. He was also writer, director and executive producer of the TV pilot Piranhas. Teacher of the Year is his first feature film.
