Jason Neulander is an award-winning writer, director, and producer based in Austin, Texas. From 1994 to 2008, Neulander founded and ran Salvage Vanguard Theater, a company devoted to the development and production of new works of live theatre. During his tenure he was named “Best Theatre Director” three times by the readers of the Austin Chronicle. In 2010 he created the transmedia sci-fi multiverse THE INTERGALACTIC NEMESIS. The “Live-Action Graphic Novel” Intergalactic trilogy premiered at the Long Center in Austin, Texas, and has been booked into more than 170 venues in the U.S., Europe, and Australia, including runs on Broadway and sold-out performances at the Kennedy Center. It was named “Best of Austin” in 2011 and has been featured on PBS, NPR’s “All Things Considered” and TBS’s CONAN (with Conan O’Brien as a performer). The graphic novels are available in print and through comiXology. He directed a broadcast version of the project, produced by PBS Digital Studios, and available at www.YouTube.com/intergalacticnemesis.
