WGAW Independent Film Executive
Kay S. Wolf is the Writers Guild of America, West’s Independent Film Executive.  She conducts outreach to narrative and documentary screenwriters and filmmakers, encouraging them to use WGA contracts both domestically and overseas. Kay started at the WGAW in 1995 and oversaw many of the Guild’s burgeoning new media, animation and nonfiction activities before her assignment to independent film in 2000. In addition to helping draft various agreements, she spearheaded efforts with the WGAW team to address industry realities by revising the current versions of the WGA Low Budget Agreement and Documentary Screenplay Contract for feature films. In 1999, she also worked a year at IFTA (Independent Film and Television Alliance) as the Director of Producer Services. Before her WGAW work, Kay was at ABC Productions/The Hemisphere Group in Los Angeles developing and producing foreign co-productions and at Saban Entertainment in development. Kay received a B.A. in Telecommunications and Broadcast Journalism from Indiana University.
